Family Ministry

May 2018

There is an African proverb that I heard when I was in college and it stated, “Cross the river in a crowd and the crocodile won’t eat you.”  To me, this means exactly what it says; if you work together, you are protected from the enemy.

One thing I have always loved about our church is that so many times, I have seen our congregation or different ministries work together to help. We always find a way to stick together and to not let the enemy divide us.

With this being the last month before summer, some of our programs are coming to an end and will resume in September. I hope after the summer break, we all come back together to work together. I want to thank you for another wonderful Sunday School year and hope you will join us in September when we start another Sunday School year.

We need to remember to continue to work together because that is how we don’t let the enemy divide us! Thank you to our congregation for all you do for one another!

Church Library
Emmanuel Lutheran Church’s library provides Christian resources for all generations. Our library's books, periodicals, and DVDs, are available for the spiritual strengthening of individuals and families. Members at Emmanuel may check out these resources for use at home. Please visit our newly   organized Library with new materials to borrow!

Children’s Worship
Children’s Worship (for ages 18 months through 2nd grade) takes place every Sunday morning during the 10:30 worship service (after the Children’s Message) in the Church Nursery. We have an age appropriate Bible lesson, a craft, and playtime. Parents are always welcome to come down and get their children to participate with them in communion. May 20 will be the last Sunday for Children’s Worship; Children’s Worship will resume in September on Rally Day.
