New Year often brings about change. Maybe you want to quit a bad habit
or start a new healthy habit. Changes can be easy to make, but aren't
always easy to stick with. Sometimes we are all too hard on ourselves
and too hard on others. Remember, none of us are perfect. Someone told
me the other day while we were conversing, "We are all human and we all
make mistakes." and not to be so hard on myself. That was something I
needed to hear that day. Life can be messy and has its ups and downs,
but one thing that is consistent and keeps me going is God's love!
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
Elderberries Coffee Hour
Elderberries will meet this month for a "Coffee Hour.” Join us on
Monday, January 28 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall for
refreshments and fellowship. Registration is appreciated, but not
required. Please call Angela McCoy to register.
Worship (for ages 18 months through 2nd grade) takes place Sunday
morning during the 10:30 worship service (after the Children’s Message)
in the Church Nursery. We have an age appropriate Bible lesson, a
craft, and playtime. Join us for the fun! Parents are always welcome to
come down and get their children to participate with them in communion.
Valentine Cookie Boxes
will soon be that time of year again when we send cookies to our
out-of-town college students and military personnel in celebration of
Valentine’s Day. We will be collecting cookies in the Fellowship Hall
kitchen through Sunday, February 3 at 9:00 a.m. We will be packaging
the boxes on Sunday, February 3 after the 10:30 a.m. worship service.
Also, we need current addresses for our college students/military
personnel. If you are willing to donate cookies, help us package them,
or have any current information, please contact Angela McCoy (330)
We have many toys in the Children’s Worship/Nursery area that need
cleaned. I will be starting to clean these toys in January and would
appreciate any help. I’m scheduling a Cleaning Day on Wednesday,
January 23rd at 11:00am. If you can help clean toys on this day, please
let me know. Your help would be greatly appreciated!
